GENERAL FAQ

Where do I park?

We have limited parking in our front lots (off of South Shepherd Drive) and side driveway (off of Branard Street). If these lots are full, please parallel park along Branard Street without blocking any fire hydrants or driveways.

Do I have to pay or reserve a table in order to play?

All of our gaming tables are free to use on a first-come, first-served basis! You can bring your own games, purchase from our inventory, or choose from our selection of free-to-play games. If you would prefer some privacy or peace and quiet, our private room is available to reserve at a rate of $40 for 5-6 hours; contact the store to check availability or book.

Can I bring outside food and/or drinks?

As we have a bar equipped with snacks, sodas, alcoholic drinks, and other beverages, we ask that customers do not bring food or drinks of such nature into the store.

Do you have a board game night?

As of right now, Asgard Games does not hold a designated, open-play board game night. However, our demo board and card games are always available for any group to play at any time.

How do I check if you have a specific product in stock?

Call us or visit us during normal business hours. If we don’t have what you’re looking for, don’t fret! We can check if the item is available from our distributors and, if so, place an order for you to pick up in-store.

What tournaments do you hold and when?

Our full calendar can be viewed here and is updated monthly.

Do you buy Magic: The Gathering or Pokemon singles?

Yes! We are always looking for a variety of Magic: The Gathering cards (mostly Rares, Mythics, and format staples) and Pokemon cards from the most recent sets (primarily full art cards like Trainers or V and VMAX Pokemon). We do not buy singles within a week of their official release date. Contact the store for our current trade-in rates.

Do you buy Magic: The Gathering or Pokemon sealed product?

Unfortunately, we do not take in sealed product of any kind.

store credit faq

How does store credit work?

Store credit can be acquired by winning in-store tournaments or trading in Magic: The Gathering or Pokemon cards. Excluding tournament entry fees, new product within the first week of release, or preorders for new product, anything in the store can be purchased with store credit! This includes sealed product, singles, board games, paints, and even snacks and beverages from the bar. Store credit is simply stored in our system under your name, and it never expires.

Can I sell cards to other customers for cash?

Interpersonal exchanging of cash for cards or other items is strictly prohibited on store property and will result in repercussions for all involved parties. Instead, store credit may be purchased and transferred from one customer to another in order to cover the value of a trade.
